ABOUT ROGUE CREATIVE MARKETING
A CREATIVE MARKETING STUDIO FOUNDED BY LESLIE EILER THOMPSON.
Supporting labels, management, publishing houses, PR FIRMS, and artists as they build extraordinary careers.
I believe in careers being as epic as the tales found in Middle Earth, and I love being a part of “fellowships” that are on extraordinary quests. Marketing and media direction on the artistic journey can often be too big a task for an existing team to handle. I bring a flexible yet capable presence to these teams through marketing direction and strategy to maximize artists’ efforts. Every one of my clients is unique - which is to be expected - so while the practices I use for each relationship may look different, my aim is to provide marketing direction and media strategy with integrity and a focus on purpose.
Email me - let’s see how I can join your team.
MORE ABOUT founder
LESLIE EILER THOMPSON
My father is a math teacher, my mother an art teacher; That explains more about my background than most things will. Growing up, I was solving math problems and using watercolors in our screened-in porch, all while singing and dancing along to whatever musical was on our television. I naturally work to strike a balance between chaos and order - and appreciate both a great deal - but there’s always a little bit of singing and dancing happening at the same time.
I got my start in marketing for creative types using MySpace bulletins and LiveJournal blogs to promote my weekend coffee shop concerts and tours. I've since learned that the tools may have changed, but the way people interact hasn't.
After earning a Commercial Music degree from Belmont University, I spent a number of years doing marketing management and creative strategy for companies in the Nashville music industry, and eventually went rogue to do the same on my own. I have the great pleasure of doing work for artists, shows, artist managers, music businesses, marketing firms, and beyond.
I am currently wrapping up my podcast series, The Rogue Ones, which hosts extraordinary people doing fascinating things. I would be delighted to have you listen. I’m not sure what’s next for me and podcasting, but I have some ideas brewing.
I reside in Nashville with my husband and our adorably disastrous pup. One day, we will go to Alaska and see the Iditarod. But that’s another story for another time.
